Keep an eye on KTM. They're bringing out some new 2-strokes. And there's a move afoot to bring some nice new 2-stroke Maicos into the states. There is general and wide agreement now that a 2-stroke 250 will easily kick ass on a 250f -- that's why they aren't allowed to race on equal footing in AMA Pro MX. But they are allowed on equal footing in the amateur ranks. It will just take a while get the market base built up again such that there are sufficient two-stroke models on the market to make it impossible for the Japs to keep them out. It took more than a decade for the 4-stroke advocates to get their way. We won't get it back overnight. But I do believe we will get it back eventually.
